Education & Training care
EDFC Academy
EDFC Academy is the teaching and research arm of the clinic — training doctors, surgeons and wound-care specialists in modern diabetic foot care.
EDFC Academy is the teaching and research arm of Elegance Diabetic Foot & Ulcer Clinic (EDFC). It offers diabetic foot and wound care training across India — fellowships and observerships, CME and certification courses, online modules, conferences and research collaborations — for doctors, surgeons and allied clinicians.
What is EDFC Academy?
EDFC Academy is the education and research division of EDFC, India's first dedicated chain of diabetic foot and ulcer clinics. It was created to address a clear gap: diabetic foot disease is common and limb-threatening, yet structured, hands-on training in its management is scarce.
The Academy is led by Dr. Ashutosh Shah (M.S., M.Ch.), a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with over 22 years of experience in limb salvage and reconstructive foot surgery, supported by the clinic's multidisciplinary team. Training is grounded in the real, high-volume caseload of the Surat (Gujarat) and Vizianagaram (Andhra Pradesh) clinics.
Programmes are designed for practising doctors, surgical trainees, postgraduates and allied clinicians who want to build genuine competence in diabetic foot and wound care.
Who is EDFC Academy for?
EDFC Academy is for:
- Doctors and surgeons wanting hands-on diabetic foot training
- Postgraduate trainees in surgery, medicine or allied specialties
- General practitioners managing diabetic patients
- Podiatrists, wound-care nurses and allied health professionals
- Institutions seeking structured training partnerships
Why train with EDFC Academy
- Real, high-volume cases: training is built on the clinics' daily diabetic foot and wound caseload, not textbooks alone
